Dear friends,
The New Year has already begun and the deep freeze in the Northeast may make us feel inclined to stay home, rather than venture out into the bitter cold. This is not a bad idea. True - several shows are closing this month. The list is below. However, this might be the right time to dedicate yourself to your own creativity. Be the artist you are inside. Find the joy of making your own work.
Not sure what to do? Look for art classes in your area. Some of our featured artists offer classes near their respective homes. Look for an art school in your neighborhood and support their efforts to nurture imagination, invention and self-actualization through art. Saturn is in Capricorn - it's time to build foundations and develop skills, either what we know how to do or new ones.
For the New York Arts Exchange, we dedicate this year to the artist in you!
And don't forget to share your creations with me at nyarts.exchange@verizon.net.
I look forward to seeing your work in digital photos.
